It’s certainly been a busy few weeks for the Foundation Audio gang. Following Chad Dubz’ superb ‘Ghostin” EP and an announcement of two more records from Aki and Mikrodot due this month, the prolific label bagged themselves two mighty dubs from Bristol bass music pioneer and veteran Rob Smith aka RSD for a limited 10″ vinyl exclusive. We’ve got the flip-side ‘Look‘ for today’s premiere, the only place online where you can listen in full!
Originally a track made specifically for sound clash ammo, ‘Dr Woh‘ accommodates the A-side, focused around an ingeniously worked cut of the infamous Dr Who soundtrack amongst other cutting edge sampling, chaotic percs and severe sub-bass pressure.
On the flip, today’s premiere and super heavyweight stepper ‘Look’ provides authentic dub-wise designs, loaded with depth expanding delays, vitalising synth stabs and hooks with pure wonky bass weight goodness that leaves you longing for a proper rig to listen on.
With the exclusivity in mind and the nature of RSD‘s pioneering work that spans over the course of two decades, FAVX004 is simply one of those must have plates for the collectors out there!
