For our final premiere of 2019, we have a track taken from the latest of Sub Garden‘s mammoth compilation series, ‘Natural Growth‘! The second of it’s kind this year and the fifth volume overall, Sub Garden‘s ‘Natural Growth‘ series and the imprint as a whole has given a plethora of producers a place to showcase their sounds in an easy, trouble free capacity given that most of the label’s releases are available completely free of charge! And that goes for this latest instalment which features a stacked track list of eighteen brand new original tunes from a range of producers from across the globe, many of them completely fresh to my ears. Our premiere today features upcoming French producer V Links with his solid contribution, ‘Second Nature‘.
Alongside V Links, the album features little known upcoming talents such as Germany’s Dijence with the infectious ‘Iced’ that focuses on a simple yet effective ice cold melody amongst heavyweight sub bass incisions. There’s definitely no shortage of deepness throughout the record with tracks from Honey and Bass regular Ramsez and label heads Roklem & Sebalo, both contributing a track each and yet another heavyweight collaborative tune entitled ‘Horde‘, all of which hit that sweet deep spot. There are also rougher, more aggressive cuts to enjoy throughout the album with big tracks from the likes of SAMI, Grawinkel and MAC.
Other highlights for me include the energetic sounds of ‘Kronos‘ by DNS and Mistah‘s eastern inspired ‘China Shop Dub‘ that comes with some clean unadulterated wubs.
Those mentioned are still just the tip of the iceberg, so go and get ‘Natural Growth Vol. 5‘ downloaded for the New Year and enjoy some hidden gems from a bunch of talented upcoming names to watch out for in 2020!
‘Natural Growth Vol. 5’ (SGDNC005) is out 31st December and will be available from the Sub Garden Bandcamp.
