Nothing has caught the attention of my eyes and ears this week (let me know if I am wrong), so for the first time in a while, what’s known as ‘Dub Buzz‘, here is a brief selection of my favourite unreleased bits I’ve come across over the last month or so!

Chad Dubz – Dread

Lord save me for I have sinned – I have enjoyed Chad Dubz‘ eruption of evil one too many times already. ‘Dread‘ is by far the darkest, most evil manifestation of Chad Dubz ever heard. A barrage of blood curdling drones in a wide open industrial space. A tune of such filth that you’ll be needing to take yourself and your exhausted speakers to the shower soon after, especially after the chaotic breaks and the intense dread filled screeches late on.

Tinky – Sirius Hill

Check this out for some serious style. French producer Tinky remains fully underrated especially when he continues to confront us with tunes like this. Effortlessly built around the immortal voice of Sen Dog from Cypress Hill, Tinky batters the subs with glass shattering rumbles and kooky SFX for this little package of freshness.

Traces – Descent

London duo Traces aren’t usually ones to shy away from the occasional chest rattling bassline and this stomper, ‘Descent‘, is no different. Crucial, authentic sounds take shape throughout, from the throbbing subs to the filthy mids that follow. The percs are razor sharp and the only thing necessary to support such a hefty tune. This one needs to be thrown on a system asap.

Arkham Sound – Harbinger

Arkham Sound has been quite the tease with plenty of new bits on his feed recently. There’s multiple sides to the London producer but the vibes within ‘Harbinger‘ demonstrates my favourite aspects within his productions. Dark and dancefloor leading, the bassline has more bounce than a kangaroo on acid and more depth than Marianas Trench.

AKASHIK – Drillaz

There’s no better way to make a first impression than with a no holds barred banger. Completely unknown to myself beforehand, I stumbled upon AKASHIK completely by chance and I’m glad I did. The definition of a hidden gem, AKASHIK lays down some heart pounding sound design for ‘Drillaz‘ and adds fuel to the fire with a turbo charged low end that revs like a Kawasaki.

SWR – Hartigan

SWR continues to raise the bar with this latest effort, ‘Hartigan‘. Taking us on a brief trip through Sin City, we’re confronted with a double threat of neck breaking wobbles and a face smacking snare. But the deeper into the city we go and the harder we try to escape, the rougher and colder it gets.

‘A young girl lives, an old man dies. Fair trade.’

Nøsq. – The Realest

If there’s one thing you can count on enigmatic Dutch producer Nøsq to deliver, it’s creativity born from darkness. Experimenting in the realms of 120bpm, Nøsq has developed quite the heater here. A host of frequent switches; rough, jarring yet dramatic, it’s everything you’d want from a producer that has consistently shown such potential. The palette is ice cold and the flow white hot, and that’s before you get to a second phase that descends into a war path of frenzied fuckery.

Primer & Kodama – Met You

When you see either of these two producers appear on your feed alone, you know you’re going to be hopping into a vehicle of blissful transcendence. But to see them on a track together, then we could be experiencing something dangerously intoxicating. Primer and Kodama‘s sound combine effortlessly on ‘Met You‘. You’ve got the mystical darkness of Primer but when those unmistakeable Kodama forged synths come into play, well, be sure to strap in. Keep an eye out for Kodama in the coming months, he’s got more incredible material waiting to soak into your soul.
