As one of the strongest dubstep producers to emerge out of Italy in recent years, Breez has decided to treat us to a medley of his long held tracks for a must grab Bandcamp release entitled ‘Undefined’ EP. All three tracks demonstrate Breez‘s suffocating weight when it comes to his sub-focused production style, including today’s premiere ‘2122’.
The EP’s opening title track ‘Undefined‘ sets the tone as the heaviest of the three. The low end is relentless as is the vigorous percussion with space expanding delays, amidst the occasional yet menacing mid range snarl. The following ‘Poison Dub‘ looks to inject just as much pressure as it’s predecessor. However Breez goes a little more minimal on this one, focusing closer on another lung busting bassline. The infinite space is filled by echoing vocal cuts and rhythmic shakes for much needed balance; a classic, well balanced ‘space and bass’ riddim.
Today’s premiere ‘2122‘ concludes the record as one of the livelier tracks thanks to its infectious melody, energetic percs and hefty bass weight incisions. This one wholly displays Breez‘s versatility and adds welcome variety to what is already a very solid self released EP.
If you’ve enjoyed Breez‘s system testing material before, particularly on the likes of Cue Line Records, then you should be looking to bag this one!
‘Undefined’ EP is out now and available to download from Breez’s Bandcamp.
