Sebalo – Low Frequencies (SNDSYSTM003) [HNYBSS Premiere]

SND SYSTM CLTR, the latest project from the multi talented Mungk, has certainly been doing bits and strongly makes the case as one of the best new labels of the year. Already on it’s fourth release following super solid releases from man of the moment Teffa, the always impressive Duckem and a huge compilation album, Sebalo delivers another two tracker that’s destined to disturb the foundations beneath systems worldwide. And none more so than today’s premiere, ‘Low Frequencies‘.

Though the vibe of both tracks differ, at their core, ‘Magnetic Shift‘ and ‘Low Frequencies‘ are bound by Sebalo‘s low end creativity. It’s all about sub bass movements on this one! ‘Magnetic Shift‘ offers simple yet animated synths. Vibrant scales dance over a continually funky, shuffling bass-line, establishing a sharp shooting dance-floor energizer before today’s premiere, ‘Low Frequencies‘. ‘Low Frequencies‘ sees Sebalo drawing on those eye down, darkened club vibes. It’s lights out during a hypnotic five minutes of four-to-the-floor sequences and brooding, airy pads.

I’m sure many recognise the sounds of Sebalo from his flawless collaborative projects with fellow German buddy Roklem, however if there were to be a pair of tunes to open your eyes to his own solo capabilities, SNDSYSTM003 is it. If SND SYSTM CLTR continues on this path of undeniable sound system disturbance (and I’m sure it will), expect it to appear on this blog regularly and to evolve into a leading label, embedding it’s well presented material into the heart of the genre for time to come.

SNDSYSTM003 is out this Friday (6th November) and available to download from the SND SYSTM CTLR Bandcamp.
