For the second week running The Weekly Buzz features a limited vinyl only release locked and loaded with a couple of heavyweight remixes. This week, Well Rounded Records treats us to two well received tracks that popped up a few months ago. Featuring on this plate are Headland and Tetrad, both on remix duties. Headland can do no wrong right now, coming off a stomping release on Innamind late last year (IMRV020). The New Zelander doesn’t show any signs of slowing down with this remix of NUMBer‘s ‘Æther’, a rougher, tougher mutation of the original that really puts the sound system to work. On the flip, Headland features once more, this time his track ‘Local’ is given the remix treatment by LA producer Tetrad. This comes just as weighty with more emphasis on percussion and sub bass, evolving into another sound system destroyer.
If you’re a collector, no doubt will you be after this 10″ especially with names like Headland and Tetrad on the plate; two producers at the top of their game!
