It was a tough choice as I’ve got my eye on three or four other great releases coming out this week. However after some pondering, my pick for this week’s Weekly Buzz comes from Irish producer Darkimh who releases his most polished and high profile record to date on the increasingly popular Infernal Sounds. Darkimh presents some of the darkest material to feature on the label thus far as he showcases his audacious style and a knack for grabbing attention; these certainly aren’t background beats!
IFS009 features four tracks, two brand new beats from Darkimh himself, ‘Chain Smoker’ and ‘Eclipse’, a dope collaboration with Taiko entitled ‘Unwarp’ and my personal favourite, an evil remix of ‘Eclipse’ by a fellow master of mystery and darkness, Malleus. There’s also a digital bonus entitled ‘Patrick Spice’ that has every much of a right to be on wax as the rest. These are some of the sickest tunes to be released so far in 2018 and long may it continue as Darkimh perfects the darker, murkier and wackier side to dubstep.
IFS009 is out this Friday (2nd February) and available from Infernal Sounds’ Bigcartel.
